So, earlier this year, I sent in an Epic of Bidasari retelling to the Queen Anne's Lace Publishing's myth and legends anthology... and it was accepted!

"Falling Moon, Rising Sun" is a retelling of songs II and III of the Epic of Bidasari. There are actually 6 songs in the epic, written as a syair (sung poem), and technically, it's one story because it's all about Bidasari, from birth to becoming Queen—but it has a lot of side stories and POV changes so they should really be several stories, not one.

Anyway! You can read my retelling when it comes out in October.

The publisher is running a Kickstarter next month to fund stuff like illustrations and audiobooks and special editions. I'll send a reminder when this actually goes live! But I thought I'd just get this out there since they said we could go ahead and announce it. (Cool stuff: I just realised that they used my story as the audiobook sample.)

It's been a while since I joined a giveaway, but one came up with LitRing, and since I was already going to set Amok free (at free? as free? lol whatever) for the month of July, I decided to merge both the sale AND the giveaway.
